Kumho Tire has selected the IAA Auto Show in Frankfurt as the launch event for several new products, including the company’s self-sealing tires and electric vehicle tires.
According to Kumho, the most compelling new version is Wattrun. The tire is specially developed for electric vehicles and is said to be 25% lighter than existing similar products. Kumho also claims to have excellent wet braking characteristics and low noise levels.

Early last year; Kumho Majesty Solus series introduced "K-Seal" technology, which can prevent punctures up to 5 mm in diameter. Kumho has not disclosed the future supply of K-Seal tires in the international market.
The concept tires on display include tires developed for the Ssanyong SUV Tivoli concept car, XAV and XLV. The tire developed for XAV has a tread pattern that mimics the footprints of a goat, and is said to provide excellent traction on muddy terrain, reduced noise, and optimal driving performance. According to reports, the concept tire developed for XLV has excellent wet weather performance while being quieter than rival SUV products.
