The Reims City Marijuana Administration (MRA) in Michigan has recalled a company's high-level vitamin E acetate cannabis aerosol product, which was an additive related to casualties by health officials.
According to MRA, these products are sold from Plan B Wellness in Billness, which is located at 2010 Mile 8 Rd. It will be held in Detroit from October 3, 2019 to November 22, 2019, and will be held again in Detroit on January 16, 2020.
The following recalled products are from the following products from a company named Savage Cannabis:
The MRA said all affected vape cartridges will carry a label indicating the license number of the cannabis facility and the METRC number assigned to the product in the state-wide surveillance system. The license number for Plan B Health is PC-000137.
It is recommended that patients or caregivers who own these products bring them back to Plan B Wellness for proper disposal.
The state requires tobacco shops and marijuana dispensaries to test the content of vitamin E acetate. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has linked the company to vaping-related lung damage. Nationwide, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has reported more than 2,600 cases, including 57 deaths.
Health officials urge e-cigarette and vape users who experience shortness of breath, chest pain, cough, fever and/or nausea and vomiting to seek medical attention.
